Labour requirements

  • We recommend hire the extra labour if you are moving heavy items or when stairs are involved.
  • Keep boxes labelled and do not overfill with heavy items.
  • If you need a tail lift vehicle that can lift heavy items up to 500KG, then hire the Luton transit.
  • If you decide to hire just the driver please ensure that you are able and willing to assist lifting the heavy items.
  • Your helpful working driver will assist with the loading and unloading of the removals van, with the added option to hire a further 1 or 2 helpers as required.

Costs & Pricing

  • We don’t charge VAT.
  • Our minimum charge for booking a removals van is two hours, we charge in 30 minute increments thereafter.
  • Long distance removals and deliveries will be subjected to an additional mileage cost (Quote)
  • Parking must be arranged by the customer. If any fines are given, they must be paid by the customer on completion of the job to the driver.
  • Congestion charge will be levied if our vehicles have to enter the zone (£15.00)

Times / Deadlines

  • Whilst we always endeavour to arrive when we say we will, we cannot guarantee against delays (particularly London congestion). We will however phone you beforehand in the event of a delay and keep you updated..
  • We do offer a time critical service Nationwide
  • All jobs have a minimum charge of 2 hours. After the 2 hours, rates will be charged in half hour increments.
  • If travelling through the congestion charge zone is required, there will be an additional charge of £15.00
  • When travelling outside M25, extra fuel charges may apply. (Get a Quote)
  • Payment must be made on completion of the job by cash, BACS bank transfer or PayPal (+4%)
  • We will always strive to be on time but circumstances out of our control such as heavy traffic or accidents may cause delays, we will notify you should any delays arise and give an ETA.

FAQ's

  • Do you help unload the van when arrived at destination?
    Yes we can give a helping hand unloading our van when we have arrived at your location.

    Do you dismantle and reassemble furniture?
    Yes we offer a service for dismantling and reassembling furniture before and after deliveries.

    I am moving house and want to bring a friend with me when transporting our furniture is this possible?
    Yes we have space for two passengers in our van.

    I have got lots of delicate items I want delivering do you offer a packing service?
    yes we offer a packing service to go with our man and van services, please contact for details.

    I have bought a weight bench from EBay can you collect it for me?
    Yes Man with a van can collect any internet items you have purchased.

Charging commences when the vehicle arrives at the property and the crew begins loading.

Moving / packing tips

  • Parking

    Once you have the movers booked, ensure suitable parking provision is made for our removal van by:
    • Placing cones
    • Leaving your car in the parking space until the removal van arrives
    • Organise parking dispensation from your local Council
  • Breakables

    On boxes that contain breakables, place “FRAGILE” stickers. Also, please neatly stack pictures and mirrors somewhere safe.

  • Fridges and Freezers

    Empty and defrost these prior to removal.

    Cookers, washing machines

    These should be disconnected and any contents removed.
